That's me (David), sunglasses and all, actually doing a Jeshua channeling for a group in Boston, from a few years back now. The sunglasses were His idea.

I hesitated to use that as the main image for a site dedicated to the sacred subject of awakening, and the suffering it ends. 

But the image conveyed what I wanted to show, and what He has often taught me. The issue with awakening isn't lack of seriousness - seriousness is the problem itself. 

We awaken to joy... to flow... to the one thing we can awaken to: the greater awareness of the lived presence of love that is the nature of the reality we are always part of.

And it isn't serious. 

Perhaps the most impactful question ever asked of me, on a dedicated path of truth seeking for over 40 years now, was this. It was a casual question from a casual acquaintance:

"Hey, what are you doing for fun?"

I gave some casual social reply, but I knew the real answer, deep into my spiritual path, was "nothing." 

And I could see that if I didn't change, I would be shut down. I was collapsing.

And I realized right then that I was not to take a step until I was aligned with the energy of fun. So I stood there, right in the middle of a public hallway, until I was. I moved only in the direction of fun.

And in doing just that, it changed my life as much as any lesson in A Course in Miracles, or any of the other intense spiritual texts and curriculum I have studied these long years.

Desire of the heart, extending itself in love...joy...play, and friendship...that is what awakening is about. And it is the fastest way to enlightenment. Sacred fun, you might say. Loving Desire.

And if your journey has brought you here, it may not have been by accident. 

Because once you become a truth-seeker, things almost never are! 

And while what follows might sound serious, please know all is in service to the greatest truth ...we are free. 

And we express that freedom in the extension of desire. And it is why we are experiencing and doing what we are experiencing and exactly now. And it is all perfect.

And if we don't see that yet, if we are still using our freedom to pretend we are not free, and actually manage to pull it off...well...that is just damned impressive! 

And we might choose to wake up...or not! But it seems the time is ripening, doesn't it?
